Challenges
MyHealth Academy offers a rich library of healthcare learning materials. We had to develop an engaging learning system that offers seamless and efficient integration of various content formats, such as polls, quizzes, videos, articles, and interactive presentations.
Solution
Looking to expand its reach among healthcare professionals, Mecaso decided to launch MyHealth Academy, an online learning platform offering courses in various medical fields such as anatomy and cardiology. The platform features videos, articles, quizzes, and certification opportunities.
Project overview
Building MyHealth Academy took us approximately 5 months. The initial design phase, during which we laid the foundation for the platform, was accomplished in just one and a half months. The rapid design process allowed us to quickly move to the development stage, where we focused on creating a robust and user-friendly digital environment for healthcare professionals.
The learning courses on MyHealth Academy include
X-CELL training products – presentations with interactive e-learning units, video and audio elements, designed in the SCORM format. Our team had to flawlessly integrate these presentations into the MyHealth platform while ensuring that interactive features, such as quizzes, functioned without any glitches.

An engaging healthcare learning environment
We developed a system that offers a range of courses on healthcare topics. Here’s how it works: as learners (medical specialists) complete each step within a course, they unlock the next step. By taking tests and quizzes, learners earn points that contribute to their final course score. Based on their scores, learners receive certificates of completion.

Solution
Dashboard
On the dashboard, students can view their completed, current, and upcoming courses. They can also see their current learning score, which reflects the total number of points they have earned so far, and explore opportunities to earn more.
All courses
For faster search, MyHealth Academy courses are grouped into various categories, such as muscular or skeletal systems, human anatomy, and the like. Learners can view the course details, the number of lessons included in it, and the amount of time it takes to complete the course.

MyHealth Academy offers a lot of useful learning materials, including articles, videos, documents, and interactive presentations. Resources can be searched via categories such as emergency medicine, surgery, allergy, immunology, psychiatry, etc.

Interactive presentations
To embed content, namely interactive X-Cell presentations, from the external source into our platform, we used iframes. An iframe is an HTML element that allows developers to embed another HTML document within the current document. Content inside an iframe is isolated from the parent document, so the parent document doesn’t affect the content within the iframe, and vice versa, preventing conflicts between them.
Using iframes, we ensured the seamless integration of external content and created a rich and interactive learning experience without compromising the core functionality of the platform.
Notifications
Users can set up email notifications to recieve promotional information, new courses available on the platform, and other learning resources.
